Consequential Ideas

"He was one of the great humanitarian French freethinkers; and the only thing wrong with them is that they make mercy even colder than justice."

Bonnie - the quote was from one of GK's mystery stories and was about the great French detective, Valentin. However, it reminded me of the great French-thinking, free-thinking Liberals whose "mercy" is going to do us in.
I'm sorry you won't be coming to the Film Conference, but now I won't feel so bad about missing y'all because I can't go, either! My brother and family will be in town that weekend for my nephew's Senior Recital at Belmont College. It's a pretty big deal and we'll want to spend as much time with them as we can. I guess we'll have to watch our own movies this year!

Enjoy the music and family! We'll miss Franklin and the wonderful
atmosphere and delight we bring back
from being in your parish and as
Eric and Kelly say: in the shire!
